One sentence review of Smooth Sailing at the Biltmore: mellow, not smooth, kinda shitty. Got my money’s worth, though, and the Biltmore is worth supporting. I (finally! awkwardly!) met @vanmega. Yay!

Download the whole album (MP3 zip). Think Quasimoto/Madlib and MF DOOM (or whatever he calls himself now) but without the crazy raps. Video game samples + weird cartoon/obscure movie quotes + fly beats.
The ridership looks great, but that was opening day. Coupled with that, rides were free for the day, so we had lineups around the block. Stephen Rees, our local transit export, has a rundown of the ridership issues for the new line. In other words, it will look nothing like it does in the video for some time (though it may conceivably have packed trains during the Olympics next year).
