On my last trip to Portland, K and I almost made it 5 modes of TriMet transit it one day, but decided a trip out to the suburbs and then back around Portland was too much. Going to keep the dream of riding the WES alive, however.
Portland WES: View On Black TRIMET WES (short word for Westside Express Service) is a commuter rail train connecting all satellites cities of Portland on Washington county: Wilsonville, Tualatin, Tigard and Beaverton. WES runs about every 30 minutes, Monday through Friday, during the morning and afternoon rush hour, avoiding the chaotic traffic on I-5 and 217 highway . This is a diesel locomotive, differently of that one on MAX and Street Car. To ride on WES, you need an All-Zone fare, and bicicles are welcome. I took this shot and many others very close to Tualatin River, (look the maps)trimet.org/howtoride/bikes/bikesonwes.htmMap:trimet.org/wes/stations.htm
