The positive reaction from people when told you idea robs you of the satisfaction you need to be motivated.

Does the same thing work for ideas? That is, if you share an idea with someone, does the implementation of that idea become less likely?

By the way, I’m aware of the irony of asking a question about sharing ideas when the the tagline for TED videos is “Ideas worth spreading”, so don’t bother pointing that out.
