Orphan track:
I came across this image that I had taken some time ago and had neglected to post. It is a monument to bad planning. The tracks are part of the CP Van Horne sub at Great Canadian Way (the northern extension of Garden City) at the new Bridgeport Canada Line station. For a brief period during the construction of the new station, which required relocation of the CP track, there were two tracks here. But that did not last long. Just long enough for one short section to be set into a concrete road crossing. Now CP would not have paid for this. We did - either through the City of Richmond or, more likely, the Canada line project. I trust that the bureaucrat who signed the bills for this will get proper, pubic recognition.
