pinder: vanmega: Really liking this album, it reminds me of the Stars… but performed by a band half as old and twice as pretentious. I’m quite enjoying this album as well, even though I can’t really give it an identity like the last two M83 albums.  Albums don’t have to have a theme, or identity, but since the last two did, it feels like this one should as well.  The first one had a “in the country” theme, and the last one was very much a “in the city” theme.  This one, I don’t know.  Is the theme “in the park… hanging out with a bunch of weirdos”?  But it sounds like nothing like George Michael! I’m waiting for a Southern rapper to sample the first bit of “Up!” Just add a phatter baseline and you have an instant anthem.
