I rent in Vancouver, and have for over a decade, and not only that, but I don’t see that changing any time soon. In the spirit of spreading myself too thin, I’ve started a new Tumblr called Fuck Yeah Renting! Original title, right? I will catalogue articles I find discussing renting vs. buying in the North American context.  I will keep an open mind to the arguments put forth for buying, though my bias will stick towards renting. If owning property works for you, then I salute you. 

I won’t subscribe to any blogs or Twitter accounts (or whatever’s current at the moment) having to do with the subject, but rather just share what I come across in a ‘stumble on it’ sense. I have enough people in my social network that I bump into something once a week or so. Call it a pop-up blog that I will maintain as long as I have to. I’ll consider co-authors, but I don’t want editorials or anything, just sharing stuff on the Internet about renting property (and possible other things, like physical items, say tools and cars and whatnot, but mostly real estate).

The Twitter account, for those who like such things, is @fuckyeahrenting, but expect no conversations to come from that account. (I’ll reply to tweets directed there from @sillygwailo.) Just stuff shared from the Tumblr and the odd administrative message.
